Here, you will find the places I have chosen to invest my time on campus. My various leadership roles have prepared and equipped me for professional positions. They have enhanced my teamwork skills and also helped shape me into a more effective communicator.

My extra-curricular activities have given me the opportunity to serve communities both around the world and in my own neighborhood. They have introduced me to bold new experiences and friendships that will last a lifetime.

The Oaks is a weekend summer retreat for incoming freshmen at Auburn University and Southern Union Community College. The weekend primarily consists of worship and teaching at large group sessions and small group time. Counselors lead small groups of freshmen, answering their questions and guiding them through the sessions.
Freshman Leadership Programs seek to instill the value of leadership in freshmen and shape them into leaders on Auburn's campus. Each week, my freshman group met with directors to work on individual development, team building and campus involvement. Meetings were designed to help each freshman network with fellow leaders and practice leadership skills.
IMPACT is Auburn University's central resource for volunteer opportunities and community service in the Auburn/Opelika area. IMPACT provides students with the opportunity to volunteer throughout the week, as well as special one-time volunteer opportunities. Students can work around their schedules and select from various project sites.
As the social chair of Alpha Omicron Pi, I worked within a budget to coordinate social events between Greek organizations. I planned event details such as booking entertainment, venues and security personnel as well as surveying chapter members on preferred themes and pairings. We enjoyed events such as Atlanta Hawks games.
As a member of First Baptist Church Opelika in Opelika, Alabama, I attended Sunday morning services and joined a small group known as a Missional Community. Affectionally called "MishComm," our group met on a weekly basis to discuss relevant topics, support one another and hold each member accountable in their walk with Christ.
I have had the opportunity to broaden my cultural understanding by traveling to countries such as Mexico and South Africa. During my time in these countries, I was able to give back the local community of Matamoros, Mexico, through educational service trips and work to improve the quality of living in the South African township of Capricorn.
